I don’t always have a sweet tooth but some days, especially when it’s hectic as all hell, I’ll run SPRINT to the nearest chocolate, biscuit or lollie I can get my mits on. But if I’m smart, I make myself a batch of these delicious balls of goodness and take a couple to work with me each day.

PERFECT with a cup of tea for curing that mid-afternoon lull – PURE BLISS!

You don’t have to use all organic ingredients but I try to use organic where I can 🙂

 

Raw Cacao Bliss Balls

Ingredients:

1 cup Medjool Dates

1 cup nuts (I used a mix of almond and cashew)

1/3 cup coconut oil

3 drops peppermint essential oil (optional)

1/3 cup raw cacao

1 tablespoon chia seeds (any colour)

1/2 cup shredded coconut (I then used desiccated for rolling but either is fine for this)

 

Method: Throw the nuts in a food processor until a fine-ish crumb and remove from food processor. Process all other ingredients until well combined. Add the nuts back in and process until just combined. Remove from food processor, roll into balls and then roll in coconut. Viola!! Perfect chocolatey GOODNESS! 🙂
